The PhotoMovie is a one-of-a-kind vacation keepsake, combining your memories with the magic of the Walt Disney Parks and Resorts. At DisneyPhotoPass.com you add your own digital photos and your Disney's PhotoPass images. We add the Disney magic with breathtaking video, music and playful Disney characters.
Product Features
Your PhotoMovie DVD includes the following:
Your PhotoMovie includes up to 7 themed chapters with as many as 112 of your own photos added in. You can place the chapters in any order you like and can repeat chapters as well. Chapter options include:
Note: Disney's PhotoMovie currently only includes chapter selections from the Walt Disney World® Resort.
Depending on the number of photos you include, the total running time for your DVD will be up to 24 minutes; up to 14 minutes for the PhotoMovie and up to 10 minutes for the slide show.
In addition to your own digital photos and your Disney's PhotoPass images, we have many professional Disney photos you can incorporate into your PhotoMovie for no additional charge. These are found under the Disney's Photo Gallery album.
The PhotoMovie DVD label is screen printed with Disney artwork and comes in a standard plastic DVD case with Disney artwork.
Note that the photographs in your Disney's PhotoMovie and the bonus slideshow are integrated into video files on the DVD. The DVD does not contain individual image files that can be downloaded to a computer.
Back to TopAspect Ratio & Cropping
Disney's PhotoMovie displays photos in a 4x6 aspect ratio. To achieve the best results for your movie, we suggest using photos that are also cropped to a 4x6 aspect ratio. This will minimize the amount of cropping necessary for your photos to display properly within your finished PhotoMovie.
Photo Orientation
You can feel free to upload photos with either horizontal or vertical orientation. However, due to special effects used in the movie, some vertical photos in your finished Disney's PhotoMovie may be displayed as a vertical frame within a horizontal frame, with a patterned background on the left and right filling the rest of the space. At this time, the only way to prevent this from happening is to use all horizontal photos. See below for a visual representation of how this would appear in the Magic Kingdom chapter.
Viewing Photos in the PhotoMovie Editor
Once you have uploaded your own digital photos and claimed your Disney's PhotoPass images into your account, you can use those photos throughout your PhotoMovie. Photos are organized under 3 albums:
Selecting a Chapter
Start creating your PhotoMovie by selecting a chapter theme from the drop-down menu in the chapter timeline. There is a theme for each Disney theme park and an additional theme for "Beyond the Parks."
Once you have selected your first chapter, you can select up to six more chapters to include in your PhotoMovie. You can choose a chapter theme more than once.
Note: The maximum number of chapters you can include in your PhotoMovie is 7.
Adding Images to a Chapter
Once you have selected a theme for a chapter, simply click and hold on the photo you would like to add and drag it onto the timeline. Let go of the mouse button when you are over the space where you want to place the photo. It's okay to leave open spaces between photos; empty photo slots will automatically be filled with photos from Disney's Photo Gallery in your finished product.
Remember, there are 3 albums for photos you can include in the PhotoMovie. If you uploaded your own images or claimed Disney's PhotoPass photos, select the corresponding album to see those images. You can feel free to select images from the Disney Photo Gallery at no additional charge.
Moving Images Within a Chapter
If you wish to move an image to another place in a chapter, click and hold the image you want to move, and then drag the image to where you want to place it. An outline will appear around the photo slot that you are about to drop your photo into. You can move an image to any place within the same chapter, or you can move it to another chapter.
Removing Images from a Chapter
To remove an image that you have placed in a chapter, click on the image, hold your mouse button down and drag the image anywhere outside of your chapter timelines. The image will be removed from your PhotoMovie but it will remain in the corresponding photo album so that you can reuse it later.
Moving a Chapter in Your PhotoMovie
If you would like to change the order of the chapters in your movie, you can do so within the movie editor by selecting the "Move Up" and "Move Down" buttons in the timeline of the chapter you want to move.
Deleting a Chapter from Your PhotoMovie
You can delete a chapter from your movie by selecting the "X" at the top right-hand corner of the chapter's timeline. If you delete a chapter, you will still be able to use any images that you had placed in it. You will also be able to reuse the chapter theme elsewhere in your PhotoMovie.
Changing the Title of Your PhotoMovie
The title of your PhotoMovie appears on the main title screen of the DVD. From this screen you begin playback of your PhotoMovie and the bonus slideshow.
The default title of the DVD is "Our Disney Vacation." You can change the title of your DVD by typing your own title into the PhotoMovie Editor. The title may be a maximum of 30 characters, including spaces. Some suggested titles are: "Our Disney Memories, Fall 2006" or "The [your last name] Family Vacation."
Previewing and Purchasing Your PhotoMovie
To preview your movie, select the "Preview" button. After previewing your PhotoMovie, select the "Return to Editor" button if you want to make changes.
Note: The DVD you receive will play full-screen on your television when played in a DVD player. There are additional magical touches in your DVD that will not appear in the preview.
When you are ready to purchase your PhotoMovie, select the "Add to Cart" button. You do not need to wait for the entire preview to play before adding your PhotoMovie to the shopping cart.
If you are having difficulty playing the preview or if the preview fails to load, visit Website Technical Support for more details about technical requirements for using the DisneyPhotoPass.com website.
